Tax preparation
Tax Preparation Services
Tax preparation by IRS Enrolled Agents and CPAs. Federal, state, and local returns for individuals, sole proprietors, S-corps, partnerships, and C-corps. We handle the current year, prior-year amendments, and unfiled back-year returns. The same team that prepares your return represents you if the IRS has questions later.
Overview
Tax preparation: the essentials.
- Filers
- Individual & business
- Back years
- Prepared from transcripts
- Prepared by
- IRS Enrolled Agents
- Federal deadline
- April 15
According to the IRS, 52.9 percent of taxpayers use a paid preparer. The tax code is complicated enough that doing it right matters: an underpayment triggers penalties and interest, and an overpayment is money you never get back.
Our preparers review your full picture, recommend deductions and credits that apply to you, and file on time. If you have unfiled prior years or an IRS notice already in hand, we can prepare and resolve in one engagement.
How this case usually unfolds
Multiple 1099s, no records · Tax preparation
Multiple 1099s, a missing W-2, or transposed numbers can quietly inflate a tax bill for years. We pull IRS wage and income transcripts to confirm what was actually reported, prepare the return from real data, and amend prior years that warrant it. Clients are often surprised by what the transcripts reveal.

Federal returns (Form 1040 and business)
Individual, sole proprietor, single-member LLC, S corporation, partnership, and C corporation returns.
State and local returns
All 50 states, plus city and local filings where required.
Unfiled back-year returns
If you have not filed in years, do not panic. We can prepare every missing year and file them in the right order.
Amended returns
If a prior return missed a deduction or contained an error, we can file Form 1040-X to correct it.
E-file or paper file
We e-file when possible for faster processing. Paper filing when a year is too old to e-file or the IRS requires it.
Filing deadlines and what they mean
The federal individual filing deadline is April 15 (or the next business day if April 15 falls on a weekend or holiday). State deadlines vary; most states use the federal date.
A six-month extension to October 15 is available, but an extension to file is not an extension to pay. If you owe, the IRS expects payment by April 15 to avoid the failure-to-pay penalty.
If you are already late, file as soon as possible. The failure-to-file penalty is ten times the failure-to-pay penalty.
Federal programs
Nine IRS programs. We look through them all.
Most tax debt is resolved through one of these nine programs. Which one fits depends on your numbers, your filing history, and assessment dates.

Innovative tax relief has been great for helping me navigate the intimidating process of getting my taxes in order. My case manager Keiner has been very diligent in getting my taxes returns completed, following up and fulfilling my request to add additional documents, and submitting my returns quickly for processing. I don’t know how I would do this without him!
Ivy from Innovative had been a blessing. She has helped walk me through the processes and has been awesome with communication. She has worked hard to get my taxes back in order and maximizing my refunds. 11 out of 10 for Ivy.
Innovative Tax Relief saved me a huge headache. I was behind a few years and my very diligent case worker did all the work, ordered all tax documents and all I had to do was sign. This was a professional and thorough experience. I highly recommend.

He ‘s also very patient explaining the process & answering whatever questions I had. He would always call or message me when he needed something from me or send docs. I needed to sign via priority mail & always included postage paid priority envelope to send them back. Thanks Keiner for all your hard work & patience dealing with me.

IRS tax representation
IRS Tax Representation Services
Tax representation means a licensed professional speaks to the IRS on your behalf. Receiving an IRS notice is not the end of the world, but talking to the IRS without representation can turn a small problem into a large one. We file Power of Attorney on day one and handle every call, letter, and meeting from that point forward.

IRS Tax Appeal Services
If you disagree with an IRS adjustment, you have a legal right to appeal. Most IRS appeals never get the attention they deserve because the taxpayer tries to handle them personally and the Office of Appeals officer compares the file against a professionally prepared one. We prepare the case, file the appeal under the right form, and argue it in writing or in conference.

IRS Tax Negotiation Services
Yes, you can negotiate with the IRS. The IRS publishes several formal programs that let you settle tax debt for less than you owe, pay over time, or pause collection entirely. Knowing which IRS negotiation tool to ask for, and how to package it, is half the battle.
